Corporate
History
HDC Medical,
Inc. HDC Medical,
Inc. is a privately held Sub-Chapter S Corporation founded by Hugh
Doss.
Doss
began his dialysis career in 1974 as a sales representative for
Drake-Wilcock after being heavily recruited by long-time friends,
Ron Marshall and Sam Owen. He was based out of Texas. In 1976, he
became sales and service manager for all the Midwest and Northeast
for Drake-Willock.
After DW was acquired
by Becton Dickinson, Doss was instrumental in forming a group of
independent reps concentrating entirely on the dialysis marketplace.
Some of the companies represented during those years were, Renal
Systems, Bentley, American Scale Corporation, Dravon Medical and
Western Laboratories. Doss also founded Dialysis Equipment Registry,
now owned entirely by Larry Valentine.
HDC Medical, Inc. received
its 510(k) clearance to market Peracidin in June 1998. The Henkel
Patent for the peracetic acid formula introduced to the dialysis
marketplace in 1982-83, expired in September 1994. Peracidin is
identical to the original patented formula. |
