PRESS
RELEASE
October
6, 2003
HDC Medical,
Inc. announced the 510(k) clearance for the MAKY Dialyzer Reprocessing
System from HDC Maquinolas, LLC. The MAKY has an aggressive cleaning
program in each of the nine operating programs available, with the
capability of using any acceptable cleaning agent with any choice
of acceptable germicides.
Hugh Doss,
President of HDC Medical, said the two biggest questions he is asked
is, “You mean I don’t have to use Peracidin?”
and “What does Maquinolas mean”? The answers are; you
don’t have to use Peracidin, and maquinolas is Argentine slang
for “funny machine.”
MAKY can
be used as a semi-automatic system or completely automated without
the necessity of an ancillary computer. The bar code scanner, label
printer, reports printer, keyboard and (optional) remote alarm connect
directly into MAKY. There are also networking ports for MAKY to
work in series and a PC port for downloading data from the Reports
Menu if that option is preferred.
HDC Maquinolas,
LLC is a joint venture of HDC Medical and Guillermo Cohen Freue.
